Oscara Oh-Ten, Reminder on my Maternity Leave!

Hello Everyone!

This time we have the lovely Miss Oscara who is a senior this year....but before I go any further with Miss Oscara, if you need information on my maternity leave please refer several posts down to the post entitled "JTP Announcements" and hopefully this information can steer you in the right direction as far as knowing what my maternity leave "status" is and how it may affect you!

But for now, let's get back to Oscara who is my current sneak peak and just one gorgeous gal! I believe she is GSU bound (my Alma mater), and so I say, go Oscara go!! I LOVED the Statesboro life...........wish I could go back sometimes, but then I wouldn't be blessed with many of the GREAT things I have now...like my wonderful husband and a beautiful 2 year old daughter, and of course we can't forget the bun in the oven! :-)! This bun is right at three pounds right now!!! Believe it!

Oscara did EXCELLENT on her shoot....and was up for whatever I wanted, which I loved!!!! I just love it when seniors give me a chance to be creative, but then again I love when they show up with their own ideas too! Win-win. I believe I'll be seeing her back in the spring for photography with her new ride...........I mean, the girl was driving a brand new mustang this time, can't wait to see what she pulls up in, in the spring! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I hope you enjoy Oscara's sneak peak...I hate to cut this short but life in this computer chair isn't as comfortable as it once was with my "bun"!

Until Next time! :-)!

John Lex IV: SENIOR & USA OLYMPIC WATER SKIER

Hello Everyone!

Slowing-down time draws even closer as I realize that John Lex's sneak peak will be one of my very last, for a very long time, as my maternity leave (from photo shoots only) will begin on October first. Right now I have a waiting list for clients (in case I decide I can handle just a few more shoots) and few creative ideas on how to tackle the waiting list if............ I should decide to do so.......

...BUT it has taken me almost 30 weeks of pregnancy to say, Jenny....it's time to slow down! So we'll see what I can "conjure up" as my father tells me! If you need more information on my leaving and returning from Maternity leave, please refer two posts down to the blog entitled "JTP Announcements". That should give you the information you need! :-)!

Well let's get to John Lex, my new cover model for my website! I just posted his sneak peak and was so excited to do so, my sister-n-law (Whitney) has been patiently waiting to see how her sweetheart looks under my photographic microscope! So what do you think?? DO WE HAVE A MODEL ON OUR HANDS??!?! John Lex did a WONDERFUL JOB, as I wish I could have posted them all!!!!!!

If you don't know John Lex, he is a senior this year and an outstanding water skier. He is a member of the USA Olympic Water Ski Team, and has his own Private lake (Lake Kenerly) where he practices his three types of water ski events. He travels EVERYWHERE to water ski, and we're not talking Cherokee Lake here! He's a pro!

I was trying to figure out if he spells his name "jon" or "john" so I googled John lex Kenerly and found this entertaining video on u-tube and thought I would share the link so you can get a glimpse into how totally awesome of a skier he actually is! I WAS VERY IMPRESSED! Wow, I MEAN SUPER WOW!! Don't just watch the beginning, WATCH THE WHOLE THING...it gets better and better and better!!!!!! GO JL GO! :-)! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwJg_jRPdIY

Obviously I wasn't the first to look up this video as it has been viewed close to 5,000 times! ;-)! I hope he didn't mind me sharing it....but it is really super cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that's it for John Lex's blog post....hope you enjoy his sneak peak and the wild u-tube video! :-)!

Until Next time!

Betsey, Reminder on Maternity Leave, and STEVIIIIIIIE!

Hi Everyone!

Ok, so some of you were probably wondering WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO JENNY!!!!!!! It's pregnancy I tell ya! It's making me forget phone numbers, account numbers, whether or not I put the clothes that are in the washer in the dryer....I feel like this baby is sucking all of my brain power out and I just realized, I DIDN'T POST ON BETSY! :-(!! SORRY BETSY!

If you have been reading my blog, you know that I am on my way out for maternity leave in a few short weeks, and am fully booked until that begins on October first. I do encourage you to read the post beneath this one to get full details on all JTP ANNOUNCEMENTS!

In the meantime, I will elaborate on the LOVELY Miss Betsy, an out-of-towner, who really rocked my site for basically a whole week while I doodle doddled around thinking that I had posted a blog on her! Anyway, Betsy is a senior this year and is just a "beaut"...did ya see her lovely locks???? I mean who wouldn't want perfect curly hair like that. My wild fru-fru's were nothing compared to her beautiful main, and we just had the BEST time capturing a few of her senior shots! Betsy is a cheer leader and has roots in Wayne County.............thus from a ten minute conversation, Jake and I basically learned that we might as well be living next door to her and her family.....it's a small world, we know their people, their people know our people in so many ways...........right down to her mom being college roommates with my aunt at UGA! Believe it!

Regardless, I really really really loved Betsy's ability to dress up for pictures, and then dress down in her black and jeans. Did I mention that I love black tops with beat up jeans??? I think it makes for ones sassy portrait. Ask Will Coley..........he rocked his black and jeans! :-)!

Betsy did great, she was a pleasure to photograph....and I can't wait to get her shots to her so she can show them off!

NOW..............The lovely Miss Stevie. She is also a senior this year and also a Lindsay Lohan Look-a-like. Did you see the resemblance folks??? She brought an entire POSSE of friends with her to her shoot and I would like to give a shout out to Mr. Will Coley (second time in this blog, go Will go!!) Mr. Woogie, and their friend......Brittany??!?! Wasn't it Brittany?? Honey, if you're name isn't Brittany don't kick me..........refer back to the first paragraph about mind loss! ;-)!!!!! Nevertheless, "Brittany" was a great friend...who kept having to rub the silver off of Stevie from that giant tank I made her get up on.

I really appreciated Stevie's ability to go with the flow....she said whatever I wanted, and I said YES MAM! Oh yeah, did I mention that Stevie is on the homecoming court!!! Will is her escort.....good gosh Will, that's a THIRD shout out in one blog post.....what has gotten into me. Will cracked me up when he said that everybody would be looking at him at the parade and not her....he is a jokester. In fact Will did so good, Jake didn't have to do the worm for laughs or say anything corny to make Stevie relax....her friends were GREAT at that! ;-)! Thanks for coming guys!

Alright, well I must say, she is a beautiful girl and did GREAT! I can't wait for Stevie and her family to see them all!

Until Next time!

A few JTP Announcements

Hi Everyone!!!

I need to make a few "announcements" of sorts as I realize that this baby isn't getting any smaller (and evidently, I'm not either!!!)! I probably get three of four emails a day requesting appointments......and have had to turn away so many! (it hurts me, I promise!!)

Ok, So here's the SCOOP:
-I am currently completely booked for photo shoots (two per a week) until my October 1st cut-off date for bookings. October 1st marks the beginning of a semi-maternity leave for Jenny Thomas Photography. I am currently accepting names for a waiting list, in case someone needs to reschedule for a later date.

-I WILL BE available for contact, by phone or email between October 1st and November 1st. (912.294.4544 or jenny_thomas@bellsouth.net) During this time, I will be taking orders, completing artwork, selling proofs, designing graduation invitations for seniors that I have already photographed, and making last minute deliveries.

-From November 1st until mid-February, Jenny Thomas Photography will be COMPLETELY closed for maternity leave.

-I will be returning to the photography scene when I'm finished with my maternity leave, however, I will have a limited number of available weekday bookings. First come, First serve......deposit and session fee holds your spot! I REALLY encourage seniors not to wait until the last minute to book (as far as graduation goes), ESPECIALLY if you are interested in custom graduation invitations, which have been a hot topic around these parts.

On a side note: ********Serious inquiries only. When you call to book an appointment, please be prepared to pay your session and deposit up front, and also be prepared to pay for your order within a week of viewing proofs. It's just the JTP way! I reserve the right to cancel appointments if deposits have not been received within one week, and I also reserve the right to completely delete all digital images if an order has not been placed or payment received within the specified time frame.

I have been very blessed this past year to have so many wonderful clients and make so many new friends! I look forward to many wonderful things/adventures in the next year and I hope that I can be of service to those who are looking for something that is simply DIFFERENT! ;-)!

In the meantime, I hope this JTP announcement can stear you in the direction that you need to go in as far as past and future photography. Don't hesitate to call or email...email is best! :-)

THANKS!

Jenny

Ashley Ashley Ashley

Once again, hello to all of my readers!

This time we have the LOVELY Miss Ashley, who is a senior this year......and as sophisticated, educated, and as beautiful as they come! I am so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph her, because there was one thing about her shoot that I felt made it very very very very very special........because you KNOW I love "special"!! And not only was it special to her and her mother, it was special to me: the number 13 Jersey, which belonged to her late brother Andy.

I have known Ashley's mother, Denise for many years.....I can even remember interviewing her for a student council project in high school and really getting to know who she was, and since then we have continued our friendship throughout my college career, teaching career, and now photographic/motherhood-ey career! On a funny note, I never thought anybody could go to pizza inn more times than my husband and myself!!! (RIP PIZZA INN, COME BACK, BUT CLEANER NEXT TIME, I'M HUNGRY AND PREGNANT!!!)

But I did have the opportunity to know and attend high school with Ashley's brother Andy. He was a good one to exchange wit with, and he was such a fun-loving, hilarious, and just out-going individual! He didn't meet a stranger, so I really looked forward to working with Ashley...."all grown up". It just seems like yesterday she was a little girl....can't believe she's going to be graduating!!!! Anyway, I am SO GLAD that she decided to include Andy's special article of clothing in her shoot..........because it's just so doggone special!

BUT......to keep going, Ashley did GREAT in all of her locations as well...this girl is photogenic! As you can tell, my favorite shot was the one at the concession stand..............it jumped right out me, so I just featured it on my home page for all to see!! Well, I hope you got to know a little bit more about Ashley by viewing her sneak peak......she did great!!!

Until Next Time!

Surrency's Put on a Laughing Show

Well, well, well..........Here's is yet another August post!!!

I have been one busy little bee here lately, but alas, "slowing down" time is drawing near as I have just realized that when I sat down in my computer chair I was a little bit further away than normal....because of my BELLY of course!!! My sweet precious bundle of joy will be here before I can turn around.........and on this Large family shoot that I partook in yesterday, I realized I may not be able to do as many shoots as I originally intended before calling it quits for maternity leave!!!! So.......................if you want me to do your photography, ESPECIALLY SENIORS OUT THERE, you better call me or email me NOW to set something up!

This time it's the SURRENCY FAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never encountered a group full of so much personality and laughs.......they were so funny, and had everything planned from beginning to end on what exactly they wanted for their shoot! Unfortunately because of lighting we didn't have enough time to get every every every single thing we wanted, but I must say that EVERYBODY DID GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to nominate the Surrency family as "Most Willing to Laugh on Demand, and Keep Laughing because then they were really laughing at each other laughing"...........which gets me to laughing, and so on and so forth. I get tickled sometimes!!!

Anyway, there were several families in this shoot, I tried to put everybody in the sneak peak at least once........but there were lots of fun ones! I did have the WILD opportunity to make my THIRD trip in a boat during a photo shoot yesterday. (Jada Martin drove me around in her boat in January, Jessica and Jeremy drove me around in their boat in May), and NOW I had the opportunity to be ESCORTED by my lovely assistant Mr. Jake Ray Phillips around a pond in a lovely camo boat. The things I do! I love it! I did have a difficult time getting the dock shots in focus since the boat was constantly moving, but the ones that I did get in focus are oh-so-special! The family is growing........and the first great grand baby is here. Isn't he a cutie-pie??!

Alright, well Jake and I had a GREAT TIME with the Surrency's, hope you love their sneak peak and hope you get to know them a little bit by watching their shots flash by! This week, I have limited myself to TWO SENIOR shoots, so get your teeth set for those!

Until next time,

This is preggo Jenny, signing off

Erika Freeeezes her Senior Year in time!

Hello!

This time we have the lovely Miss Erika, a senior this year....2010! Can you believe all of the seniors that I've been photographing lately??? I mean.........I LOVE IT! Erika is a varsity cheerleader and was so much fun to photograph as I personally enjoyed her silent laugh....(no noise when she laughs), makes me laugh.......and I really enjoyed her entourage that she brought along...they were just FAB!

Erika had the khaki dress that was just so cute...I wish I could have posted all of the shots of her in that dress...but I must say that the khaki dress on the khaki wall was my favorite. I chose a serious shot for that wall...I told her she looked like a GAP model! ;-)

Erika was very particular and wanted to do just right....but ERIKA, HONEY...you did FANTABULOUS!!! Don't stress girl!

Well, I hate to cut this one short but I did want to say that I had so much fun, Erika did SO GREAT, and I wanted to thank Jake for the wonderful assistance and Erika's mom, Angie, for the sweet text this afternoon about her sneak peak! Just too kind, too kind! ;-)!

Had fun!

Jenny
