JTP Currently Closed for Maternity Leave

Well, it's that time!!!! November first came and went, (very quickly might I add) and though I still have a few loose ends to tie up, I am OFFICIALLY on maternity leave! :-)! I want to thank everyone for being so understanding as I grew, and grew, and grew....and grew a little bit more than I probably should have, but heck, this is the last baby, right??! :-)!

JTP is currently completely closed for photo shoots, artwork, and delivery until February 28th! HOWEVER.........if you need to book a wedding, please email for packages and pricing even while I'm out, because I know how frantic it can be reserving a date! (A friendly reminder that my wedding packages begin at 2000.00.)...........and now, back to the topic at hand: if my sweet bundle decides to welcome himself into this world a little sooner than expected or my recovery goes better than expected, we MAY be reopening a little earlier than February 28th! Just stay tuned into my blog posts for updated information!

If you have a question, the best way to contact me is through email: jenny@jennythomasphotography.com, and I will answer at my convenience....considering I'll be up all night for a while with a screaming baby!

Thanks to all for your patience and understanding!!! I look forward to working with you in the near future, as the waiting list is INSANE!!!! We'll get it done!!!!.................can't wait!!!

Amy & Dwayne Tie The Knot!....Blog below this one concerning my Maternity Leave

Well, Well, Well...........didn't know I had it in me, did ya??

So you thought I was so pregnant that I wasn't going to squeeeeeeeeeeeeeze in one last event before my maternity leave did ya???? WELL YOU THOUGHT WRONG!! Because the only thing that was sqeeeeeeezing, was me and my extra large pregnant belly between the isles photographing Dwayne and Amy! That's right, they finally tied the knot! :-)!!!!!!

What was so crazy about this whole thing......Amy and I booked this event LONG before I knew I was going to be bringing a sweet little bundle into this world...and calling it quits wasn't an option for me as Amy is a good friend and I knew this would be a wedding to rock your socks off! Between the live band, PJ, (that's right...PJ, not DJ, long story)........and my continuous hope that the reenactment of the "wedding isle dance" music would start to play pre-ceremony (as found on youtube, and at this link: http://www.jkweddingdance.com/) ..........it was all around a GLORIOUS event! :-)! I couldn't have asked for a better way to make my exit from the photography stage and into maternity!

Of course, I always have to end with a bang, right? And why not come back with a bang? JTP will have a whole new look, a whole new style, and a whole new "presence" (mind ya) upon my return....I just can't wait!

I hope you enjoy the sneak peak....it may be up for a while considering I'm going to be taking my leave, but you'll get used to it! :-) In the mean time, thanks to everyone who helped to make Amy and Dwayne's photographic wedding dreams come true....and thanks to my lovely assistant Jake who has now been furlowed because of my largeness, poor thing! We'll be back! Don't forget about us!

Until next time!

JTP Announcements Concerning my Maternity Leave

Hi Everyone!!!

I need to make a few "announcements" of sorts as I realize that this baby isn't getting any smaller (and evidently, I'm not either!!!)! I probably get three of four emails a day requesting appointments......and have had to turn away so many! (it hurts me, I promise!!)

Ok, So here's the SCOOP: As of RIGHT NOW, I am on a semi-maternity leave from Jenny Thomas Photography. I am no longer booking photo shoots until I return from maternity leave, however I WILL BE available for contact, by phone or email between October 1st and November 1st. (912.294.4544 or jenny@jennythomasphotography.com) During this time, I will be taking orders, completing artwork, selling proofs, designing graduation invitations for seniors that I have already photographed, and making last minute deliveries.

From November 1st until the end of February, Jenny Thomas Photography will be COMPLETELY closed for maternity leave. I will be returning to the photography scene when I'm finished with my maternity leave, however, I will have a limited number of available weekday bookings. First come, First serve......deposit and session fee holds your spot! Please continue to check my blog for updated JTP information, as I MAY decide to return a little earlier than expected.

I REALLY encourage seniors not to wait until the last minute to book, ESPECIALLY if you are interested in custom graduation invitations, which have been a hot topic around these parts. Senior shoots should be scheduled for March and April....May is cutting it close in regards to invitation design.

On a side note, when I do begin booking in the spring: ********Serious inquiries only. When you call to book an appointment, please be prepared to pay your session and deposit up front, and also be prepared to pay for your order within a week of viewing proofs. I reserve the right to cancel appointments if deposits have not been received within one week, and I also reserve the right to completely delete all digital images if an order has not been placed or payment received within the specified time frame.

I have been very blessed this past year to have so many wonderful clients and make so many new friends! I look forward to many wonderful things/adventures in the next year and I hope that I can be of service to those who are looking for something that is simply DIFFERENT! ;-)!In the meantime, I hope this JTP announcement can steer you in the direction that you need to go in as far as your photography needs. Don't hesitate to call or email...email is best! :-)

THANKS!

Amanda: Horse Kissing and Gnats!

Hello Everyone! :-)!

So after carefully reviewing Miss Amanda's sneak peak that I just ever-so-freshly posted, I realized that I was partial to "moment" shots today!!!??? Is it the motherly hormones flowing to my brain that made me want to post these moments? Um, probably more of my insane Oreos and milk addiction and what the contents of those orange and black cookies are doing to my brain! It's making me do weird things. Speaking of motherly hormones, before I move on....if you need information concerning my maternity leave please refer several posts down to the post entitled "JTP Announcements", that should set you straight! :-)

Amanda had SO MANY great shots, some, with her beautiful smile...but after narrowing it down, for some reason, these were some of my fav's. It is so weird how I can favor beautiful smiles on one day, "attitude" like Stevie's on another day............and then just go for "moments" today. So.......as you may notice, Amanda's sneak peak reflects a sincere, sweet, beautiful, and kind girl..........and here we have: Amanda. That's her! I have actually known Amanda for several years and her brother Kyle..............most accurately described as a MESS, and I must say.....I have really enjoyed being around them both! Amanda is a senior this year.......a dancer, a guitarist, and a horse kisser. Wait..........she's kissing her horse OK, she loves her horse! :-) She just HAD to have that shot so I had to include it! :-)!

Regardless of horse-kissing or playing a guitar out in snake-infested weeds............Amanda did fantabulous, and was just a pleasure to photograph! I would like to give a special shout out to her horse............................her name is Jenny. HOW CONVENIENT!!!!!!!! A personal "FAV" of mine! And I'd also like to thank Amanda's mother Lori for the gnat-reflecting face and body wipes for Jake and myself. We practically bathed in them, and eventually we survived, all while having a wild and fun time as usual. I think that was the fastest I was physically able to waddle to my car to flee from the gnats.

Only swallowed three. It was a good day! :-)

Until Next time!

Kelli Girl Senior 2010 & Maternity Leave Information

Hello Everyone!

These sneak peaks are rolling out like water off of a duck's back!

Two more to go and THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!! Maternity Leave here I come! :-)! For more information concerning my maternity leave, please view the post immediately below this one for a teeny tiny bit of info, and for even more detailed information, view the post entitled JTP Announcements!

OK! Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to Miss Kelli! She is a senior this year and was alot of fun to photograph! We went a little ways down the road and found one location that offered so many different opportunities for a great shoot! :-) I guess I must first explain that Kelli is headed toward the medical field and plans to be a sonographer! HOW COOL IS THAT?! I need a sonographer at this very moment to see what this wild-child is doing in my belly! He's kicking and punting in there as I type! I think he's tired of this computer chair.

Regardless, I think it was so cool that she wanted to be photographed in a career kind of way.......the last girl I had pull this off wants to be a cosmetologist, and it's just going to be neat to look back one day and see where it all began! :-)! There probably aren't pictures of me with a camera anywhere, because I made everybody and everything my victims............especially dogs and cows. They didn't complain about being too close!!!!!!!!!!!! (it seemed to be a common complaint in the days of my wild Kodak wind-up cameras!!! Everybody would holler, why are so close to my face with that camera!!!!!!!!!! My grandaddy taught me how to frame a shot, I could even do it in style with a wind-up. We had wild college pictures, OK, just ask Bess)!

Anyway, I just loved her colors.........the girl looks good in the pinks and purples and what a beautiful skin tone! I must also give a shout out to her paparazzi. I mean she showed up with at least EIGHT people watching her......the biggest JTP Entourage YET........and still pulled off a successful, natural shoot! :-)! I think they all had lots of fun! Kelli is friends with Montana and Morgan, my last two sneak peaks........and they were both there too.........I mean, we might as well all just move in together.

Alright, I hope you enjoyed Kelli's sneak peak.....................and I hope she and you love them! Next up will be Miss Amanda Vice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you guess what animal we shot around??!? You'll have to wait, sorry! :-)!

Until Next time!

Jenny!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss Montana!....Maternity Leave Info too!

Hey Everyone! Two Posts, two days....I'm on a sleep-deprived roll here! :-)!

Before I get started on Miss Montana, please note that I am no longer accepting bookings for photo shoots until AFTER I return from maternity leave on March 1st. I am now ONLY currently open for artwork, editing, ordering, and graduation invitation design until November 1st, and then I will be on FULL leave until my return! (sorry! I'm about to POP from pregnancy!!!!!!! What do you expect??!) If you need more information, please refer several posts down to the post entitled "JTP Announcements", as this information may affect you! :-)!

Now, back to Miss Montana! :-)! Montana is of course a SENIOR this year........................seniors, seniors, seniors.....have I photographed the whole class of oh-ten yet??!?!? And she was GREAT at following my lead as we shot in three different locations down town. She was accompanied by Morgan, the other current sneak peak....and how was I to know during all of this booking that I would put two friends on the same week! On top of that you will also get to see another friend of theirs, Kelli!! I imagine this group of friends sitting around the table at school saying, OK, I'll get my mom to call Jenny, you get your mom to call jenny...........it worked out perfectly if this is even what happened, but then again it's late and my imagination is running wild here! Regardless, I think it's unique to photograph friends.......and I'm so glad that I was given the opportunity to do it before my feet swell to the point of n0 return.

Anyway, Montana is an awesome swimmer..........she has been swimming Varsity for three years, and this will be her fourth! Quiet an accomplishment. I wish I could go swimming in a sea of oreos and milk right now.........this pregnant woman is hungry! Why do I keep getting off of topic???! Mrs. Eckle, I'm sorry!!!!! Betty Ham Benner.........I know you know me very well.........please don't critique my English like you did my outfit at the Homecoming parade. You ham you. Almost a decade later and I'm still scared of my high school English teachers who I LOVED and STILL LOVE!

Alright, I guess I better wrap this up because this post is going nowhere fast with hunger and my sudden urge to go eat oreos and milk! Montana did great..............she's gorgeous, that's all you need to know! :-)!

Had fun!

Morgan and Reminder on Maternity Leave!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

This time we have the lovely Miss Morgan, but before I continue may I remind you that I am no longer booking appointments due to my maternity leave which began on October 1st (for photo shoots only), but will continue to do artwork, invitation design, and ordering until November 1st! Many of you want to know my maternity status and how it may affect you, and that was the "quick" run down. For more detailed information please scroll a few posts down to the post entitled "JTP Announcements". I plan to return the photography scene around March 1st, and I will begin booking appointments around that date! If you have questions, please feel free to shoot me an email via the contact section of my website! (this is the BEST way to contact me!)

*****A side note: Trust me, it's very difficult for me to turn people away!!!!!!! It hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have this weird inner desire to make people happy......and I love to please, so I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that I have to slow down!!! Regardless, I'll be back!

In the mean time, lets get back to Morgan, after all, I entitled this crazy post after her FIRST, and then my maternity announcement! :-)!

Morgan is a senior this year and when she walked up....that smile............she just glowed! :-)! I knew we would have a GREAT session! What I loved about her shoot was the fact that she wanted to be photographed around planes, so we made the trek to the airport and got some great shots around some great plans, and the coloring was absolutely beautiful! Morgan plans to go to GSU and then transfer to SCAD to train to be a photographer and I think that is just GREAT! :-)! She is definitely picking a fun area! I forgot to ask what "type" of photography she was interested in....but went on to explain, that I guess I've kind of turned into mainly a senior photographer......but I love it. I really started out more interested in families and babies....but found my "knack" elsewhere! I just love working with seniors like Morgan, because they're all so unique, different, they listen well, and they are just up for anything! :-)!

There were many wonderful shots, but I had to narrow it down for her sneak peak! Can't wait for her to see them all........and the next sneak peak is a good buddy of hers, so hopefully I can get them posted together! :-)! Jake and I really had a fun time........the weather was perfect, and for me being so pregnant....I couldn't have asked for a better temp!!!!!! WHY COULDN'T IT HAVE BEEN LIKE THAT THE PAST THREE MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well! Hope you enjoy Morgan's sneak peak!

Had fun!

I am just so excited tonight, mainly because the ENTIRE homecoming court of Wayne County High School are all MY CLIENTS!!! I was SO NERVOUS going into this because I feel as if they are all my buds!!! I want to congratulate Miss Lauren Weathers, Miss Stevie Phillips, and queen, Miss Whitney Grantham (who also doubles as my sister-n-law!) on their places! After a week full of continuous celebration, I know they are glad the anticipation is over!

I would also like to congratulate other JTP Clients for being on court, Kara Forrister, Brooke Yeomans, Erika Freise, WILL COLEY (you escort you), John Lex (Whitney's escort, my photog client)........oh yeah, and WOOGIE will be my client soon! I hope ya'll have fun tonight and you win lots of superlatives. I was actually voted WITTIEST of my class, many moons ago tonight! Imagine that? More like CRAZIEST! Well, that's all for now....yeah, a post with no pics posted...just excited, had to type it!

Until next time!

Oscara Oh-Ten, Reminder on my Maternity Leave!

Hello Everyone!

This time we have the lovely Miss Oscara who is a senior this year....but before I go any further with Miss Oscara, if you need information on my maternity leave please refer several posts down to the post entitled "JTP Announcements" and hopefully this information can steer you in the right direction as far as knowing what my maternity leave "status" is and how it may affect you!

But for now, let's get back to Oscara who is my current sneak peak and just one gorgeous gal! I believe she is GSU bound (my Alma mater), and so I say, go Oscara go!! I LOVED the Statesboro life...........wish I could go back sometimes, but then I wouldn't be blessed with many of the GREAT things I have now...like my wonderful husband and a beautiful 2 year old daughter, and of course we can't forget the bun in the oven! :-)! This bun is right at three pounds right now!!! Believe it!

Oscara did EXCELLENT on her shoot....and was up for whatever I wanted, which I loved!!!! I just love it when seniors give me a chance to be creative, but then again I love when they show up with their own ideas too! Win-win. I believe I'll be seeing her back in the spring for photography with her new ride...........I mean, the girl was driving a brand new mustang this time, can't wait to see what she pulls up in, in the spring! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I hope you enjoy Oscara's sneak peak...I hate to cut this short but life in this computer chair isn't as comfortable as it once was with my "bun"!

Until Next time! :-)!

John Lex IV: SENIOR & USA OLYMPIC WATER SKIER

Hello Everyone!

Slowing-down time draws even closer as I realize that John Lex's sneak peak will be one of my very last, for a very long time, as my maternity leave (from photo shoots only) will begin on October first. Right now I have a waiting list for clients (in case I decide I can handle just a few more shoots) and few creative ideas on how to tackle the waiting list if............ I should decide to do so.......

...BUT it has taken me almost 30 weeks of pregnancy to say, Jenny....it's time to slow down! So we'll see what I can "conjure up" as my father tells me! If you need more information on my leaving and returning from Maternity leave, please refer two posts down to the blog entitled "JTP Announcements". That should give you the information you need! :-)!

Well let's get to John Lex, my new cover model for my website! I just posted his sneak peak and was so excited to do so, my sister-n-law (Whitney) has been patiently waiting to see how her sweetheart looks under my photographic microscope! So what do you think?? DO WE HAVE A MODEL ON OUR HANDS??!?! John Lex did a WONDERFUL JOB, as I wish I could have posted them all!!!!!!

If you don't know John Lex, he is a senior this year and an outstanding water skier. He is a member of the USA Olympic Water Ski Team, and has his own Private lake (Lake Kenerly) where he practices his three types of water ski events. He travels EVERYWHERE to water ski, and we're not talking Cherokee Lake here! He's a pro!

I was trying to figure out if he spells his name "jon" or "john" so I googled John lex Kenerly and found this entertaining video on u-tube and thought I would share the link so you can get a glimpse into how totally awesome of a skier he actually is! I WAS VERY IMPRESSED! Wow, I MEAN SUPER WOW!! Don't just watch the beginning, WATCH THE WHOLE THING...it gets better and better and better!!!!!! GO JL GO! :-)! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwJg_jRPdIY

Obviously I wasn't the first to look up this video as it has been viewed close to 5,000 times! ;-)! I hope he didn't mind me sharing it....but it is really super cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that's it for John Lex's blog post....hope you enjoy his sneak peak and the wild u-tube video! :-)!

Until Next time!

Betsey, Reminder on Maternity Leave, and STEVIIIIIIIE!

Hi Everyone!

Ok, so some of you were probably wondering WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO JENNY!!!!!!! It's pregnancy I tell ya! It's making me forget phone numbers, account numbers, whether or not I put the clothes that are in the washer in the dryer....I feel like this baby is sucking all of my brain power out and I just realized, I DIDN'T POST ON BETSY! :-(!! SORRY BETSY!

If you have been reading my blog, you know that I am on my way out for maternity leave in a few short weeks, and am fully booked until that begins on October first. I do encourage you to read the post beneath this one to get full details on all JTP ANNOUNCEMENTS!

In the meantime, I will elaborate on the LOVELY Miss Betsy, an out-of-towner, who really rocked my site for basically a whole week while I doodle doddled around thinking that I had posted a blog on her! Anyway, Betsy is a senior this year and is just a "beaut"...did ya see her lovely locks???? I mean who wouldn't want perfect curly hair like that. My wild fru-fru's were nothing compared to her beautiful main, and we just had the BEST time capturing a few of her senior shots! Betsy is a cheer leader and has roots in Wayne County.............thus from a ten minute conversation, Jake and I basically learned that we might as well be living next door to her and her family.....it's a small world, we know their people, their people know our people in so many ways...........right down to her mom being college roommates with my aunt at UGA! Believe it!

Regardless, I really really really loved Betsy's ability to dress up for pictures, and then dress down in her black and jeans. Did I mention that I love black tops with beat up jeans??? I think it makes for ones sassy portrait. Ask Will Coley..........he rocked his black and jeans! :-)!

Betsy did great, she was a pleasure to photograph....and I can't wait to get her shots to her so she can show them off!

NOW..............The lovely Miss Stevie. She is also a senior this year and also a Lindsay Lohan Look-a-like. Did you see the resemblance folks??? She brought an entire POSSE of friends with her to her shoot and I would like to give a shout out to Mr. Will Coley (second time in this blog, go Will go!!) Mr. Woogie, and their friend......Brittany??!?! Wasn't it Brittany?? Honey, if you're name isn't Brittany don't kick me..........refer back to the first paragraph about mind loss! ;-)!!!!! Nevertheless, "Brittany" was a great friend...who kept having to rub the silver off of Stevie from that giant tank I made her get up on.

I really appreciated Stevie's ability to go with the flow....she said whatever I wanted, and I said YES MAM! Oh yeah, did I mention that Stevie is on the homecoming court!!! Will is her escort.....good gosh Will, that's a THIRD shout out in one blog post.....what has gotten into me. Will cracked me up when he said that everybody would be looking at him at the parade and not her....he is a jokester. In fact Will did so good, Jake didn't have to do the worm for laughs or say anything corny to make Stevie relax....her friends were GREAT at that! ;-)! Thanks for coming guys!

Alright, well I must say, she is a beautiful girl and did GREAT! I can't wait for Stevie and her family to see them all!

Until Next time!

Ashley Ashley Ashley

Once again, hello to all of my readers!

This time we have the LOVELY Miss Ashley, who is a senior this year......and as sophisticated, educated, and as beautiful as they come! I am so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph her, because there was one thing about her shoot that I felt made it very very very very very special........because you KNOW I love "special"!! And not only was it special to her and her mother, it was special to me: the number 13 Jersey, which belonged to her late brother Andy.

I have known Ashley's mother, Denise for many years.....I can even remember interviewing her for a student council project in high school and really getting to know who she was, and since then we have continued our friendship throughout my college career, teaching career, and now photographic/motherhood-ey career! On a funny note, I never thought anybody could go to pizza inn more times than my husband and myself!!! (RIP PIZZA INN, COME BACK, BUT CLEANER NEXT TIME, I'M HUNGRY AND PREGNANT!!!)

But I did have the opportunity to know and attend high school with Ashley's brother Andy. He was a good one to exchange wit with, and he was such a fun-loving, hilarious, and just out-going individual! He didn't meet a stranger, so I really looked forward to working with Ashley...."all grown up". It just seems like yesterday she was a little girl....can't believe she's going to be graduating!!!! Anyway, I am SO GLAD that she decided to include Andy's special article of clothing in her shoot..........because it's just so doggone special!

BUT......to keep going, Ashley did GREAT in all of her locations as well...this girl is photogenic! As you can tell, my favorite shot was the one at the concession stand..............it jumped right out me, so I just featured it on my home page for all to see!! Well, I hope you got to know a little bit more about Ashley by viewing her sneak peak......she did great!!!

Until Next Time!

Surrency's Put on a Laughing Show

Well, well, well..........Here's is yet another August post!!!

I have been one busy little bee here lately, but alas, "slowing down" time is drawing near as I have just realized that when I sat down in my computer chair I was a little bit further away than normal....because of my BELLY of course!!! My sweet precious bundle of joy will be here before I can turn around.........and on this Large family shoot that I partook in yesterday, I realized I may not be able to do as many shoots as I originally intended before calling it quits for maternity leave!!!! So.......................if you want me to do your photography, ESPECIALLY SENIORS OUT THERE, you better call me or email me NOW to set something up!

This time it's the SURRENCY FAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never encountered a group full of so much personality and laughs.......they were so funny, and had everything planned from beginning to end on what exactly they wanted for their shoot! Unfortunately because of lighting we didn't have enough time to get every every every single thing we wanted, but I must say that EVERYBODY DID GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to nominate the Surrency family as "Most Willing to Laugh on Demand, and Keep Laughing because then they were really laughing at each other laughing"...........which gets me to laughing, and so on and so forth. I get tickled sometimes!!!

Anyway, there were several families in this shoot, I tried to put everybody in the sneak peak at least once........but there were lots of fun ones! I did have the WILD opportunity to make my THIRD trip in a boat during a photo shoot yesterday. (Jada Martin drove me around in her boat in January, Jessica and Jeremy drove me around in their boat in May), and NOW I had the opportunity to be ESCORTED by my lovely assistant Mr. Jake Ray Phillips around a pond in a lovely camo boat. The things I do! I love it! I did have a difficult time getting the dock shots in focus since the boat was constantly moving, but the ones that I did get in focus are oh-so-special! The family is growing........and the first great grand baby is here. Isn't he a cutie-pie??!

Alright, well Jake and I had a GREAT TIME with the Surrency's, hope you love their sneak peak and hope you get to know them a little bit by watching their shots flash by! This week, I have limited myself to TWO SENIOR shoots, so get your teeth set for those!

Until next time,

This is preggo Jenny, signing off

Erika Freeeezes her Senior Year in time!

Hello!

This time we have the lovely Miss Erika, a senior this year....2010! Can you believe all of the seniors that I've been photographing lately??? I mean.........I LOVE IT! Erika is a varsity cheerleader and was so much fun to photograph as I personally enjoyed her silent laugh....(no noise when she laughs), makes me laugh.......and I really enjoyed her entourage that she brought along...they were just FAB!

Erika had the khaki dress that was just so cute...I wish I could have posted all of the shots of her in that dress...but I must say that the khaki dress on the khaki wall was my favorite. I chose a serious shot for that wall...I told her she looked like a GAP model! ;-)

Erika was very particular and wanted to do just right....but ERIKA, HONEY...you did FANTABULOUS!!! Don't stress girl!

Well, I hate to cut this one short but I did want to say that I had so much fun, Erika did SO GREAT, and I wanted to thank Jake for the wonderful assistance and Erika's mom, Angie, for the sweet text this afternoon about her sneak peak! Just too kind, too kind! ;-)!

Had fun!

Ashley's up & New JTP Look!

Hi Everyone!

This time it's Miss Ashley, she's a senior this year..........and COUNTRY-FIED! She told me she liked country....so I gave her country. Forget my urban-y look....we went to the farm!!!! Ashley is one of my many out-of-town clients that I have had the pleasure to photograph over the past several weeks....and the out-of-towner's are really showing what they've got! We've had Guyton, Baxley, Alma, and now a little bit of Bristol came to town! I LOVE IT!

I would like to thank the Boone's for use of their BEAUTIFUL farm, they are always so kind to me and my photography victims who say they want COUNTRY! Which reminds me...those of you who are considering me as your senior photographer, don't be afraid to speak up and let me know what you want, because other wise we can get pretty wild! I like how Ashley told me what she wanted to do!

Also on this shoot, she brought her little bro and sis along for a few family shots....sorry I didn't put any of those up, but it's Ashley's turn to shine! She has been texting me for a few days wanting to know if her shots were ready......I know she needs her online-sneak-peak glory...and she deserves it! It takes a LONG TIME to become a senior!

I must say that Ashley did a fantastic job....she went right along with my flow, and I also want to thank my lovely lovely lovely assistant Jake for being there for me!!!!!!! He almost didn't make it to the shoot, but he's my trusty side-kick and he came through for me!! HE IS A#1 AWESOME!! GO JAKE GO!

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the new JTP look as I have made several changes as far as look. I randomly noticed that the leaves were started to fall today and thought....fall is on it's way, so might as well go with something more "fally". Ok, getting stupid now...must go! Had a blast!

Seniors better be calling FAST....I'm getting more fat and pregnant as the days go by!!!

Had fun!

Willllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

OK, so two sneak peaks in one day, I'm on a roll!!

This time we have Mr. Will!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my SECOND time photographing Will as I met him on my prom shoot.........and I did notice that he just happened to be very photogenic...so to no surprise, we plowed through his senior shoot like a wild race horse.........and he did GREAT!!!!!

Will is a senior this year, and he was so funny....he brought several friends along, and we had a hard time keeping a straight face...but his serious shots...I just love! Will, why don't you go hop on a Hollister bag!!!?????? I mean, right now.

My favorite shots of him are the ones with the black background.........................SOMETHING DIFFERENT........and cool. Loved the holy jeans. I would like to take this moment to make a shout out to GREGORY!! HEY GREGORY!!!! I thought everybody who attended the shoot would get a kick out of that!!

Alright, hate to cut it short but TWO SNEAK PEAKS IN ONE DAY.....Neely WILL NOT sleep tonight if I don't go wake her up from her afternoon nap! :-)!

HAD FUN!

Whitney Whitney Whitney

Hi Everyone!

This time it's Miss Whitney, SENIOR 2010................................and I must say, YES, you've seen her face before...she was my prom model, but she also doubles as my lovely sister-n-law! We had a WILLLLLLLLLLLLLLD time doing her senior shots, and she did so good, it's going to be hard for her to narrow it down!!!

I actually did the photography last Monday, and gee-golly it was a hot one, but thanks to my lovely assistant and other sister-n-law Miss Kristin Grantham the photography went well as my belly swells!!!! There were SEVERAL very interesting things that happened during Whitney's shoot, but to highlight the main happening.........I received my first ever OFFICIAL POLICE ESCORT SERVICE by a real police officer to insure our safety in one location, and just to let you know WE WERE SAFE!!

For those of you who read my blog and who have been on shoots with me....you know that I am all about safety! So whether it's ladder safety, street safety when standing in streets, or fire safety....nevermind that one doesn't really apply...I'm just all about safety. After all, I'm carrying the next little Thomas baby, we must be careful!!

Whitney wanted something different, and I did too, so we took off out of this little town and shot elsewhere..........where new walls, new scenery was waiting on little/growing bigger/getting larger size me! I just loved it!!!!

I would like to ESPECIALLY thank Kristen for her help and support during the shoot...she really helped to bring the real Whitney out, and we laughed and had a good time.....aside from some of the crazy sights we saw (thus reinforcing our need for police!!)!!

Anyway, Whitney did amazing and I can't wait for her to see all of them!! We are ordering prints this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until next time...next sneak peak is Will Coley, so get your teeth set!!

Asher is FINALLY HERE!!!

Could it be true?! TWO posts in ONE DAY??!?! Oh yes, you better believe it! :-)!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't little Asher just melt your little heart?!?!?! I was given the opportunity to photograph baby Asher on his one week birthday, and isn't he just a postcard baby?!? OK, so do you remember the Maternity shots with Haley and Kerry?? Well, the time finally came and Asher made his way into the world on August third........and into my camera lens yesterday, Monday the 10th! Right on time!

Kerry and Haley seem to be doing GREAT at being parents....we talked about everything from feeding, to sleeping, to names........(OK, so I tried to bum some name ideas for my nameless baby boy).......all while letting Asher settle down....and we really had a good visit! OH, I almost forgot....I keep saying "we", because I took two of my trusty sidekicks along....my FAVORITE sister-n-laws, the lovely Miss Kristin and the lovely Miss Whitney.....and they got to get a glimpse of what a one week shoot is like. I must admit, we were all in LOVE with Asher's nursery...it was very very very very PERFECT and I just LOVED the colors!! I love dark furniture!!!!

Besides that......we didn't get to do as much as I would have liked, being that I am a crazy photo shoot hog, but the ones that I got are going to be so special to Kerry and Haley for years to come. While I was doing his photography, it hit me................Who's going to do my one week photog for my nameless baby?? :-(!! I'll be c-section-ing it up................so maybe I can direct my mother........OK, maybe not. We have different tastes in photography.

Seeing little Asher has given me the baby boy fever.....as I am constantly bothered by the fact that my husband and I are having the WORST time thinking of the perfect name. If anyone would like to donate a list of unique, short syllable names...........I will certainly take them into consideration. I'm not the tough one, my hubby is.

OK, so this blog has turned into "dear diary".............OH WELL!!! Regardless, we had a great time with Asher and the Allen's and I hope everybody loves their sneak peak! :-)!

Jenny

Brooke Almost got to kick me!

Well here we have it folks, the lovely Miss Brooke who is a senior this year "OH-10". She was such as MESS to photograph, as she put me in my place several times.....which made me laugh!!!! She is JUST like her mom, Shawn!!!!!!!! JUST LIKE HER!!!!!!

We had a lovely time....shooting both in town and then out at their farm in the country, and Brooke had the lovely idea of the white dress...there were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many great shots her in the white, I basically just had to close my eyes and pick because it was so hard!!!!!

Anyway, at one point during the shoot, I told Brooke that I LOVE to go to DAMONS to get one of those big "ICE" waters..............OLE Brooke thought I said something else, and she called me out!!! It took me a while to figure out why she thought I have a potty mouth....but the girl was so funny, I eventually back-tracked in my mind (almost impossible these days) and picked her mind apart.... ICE WATER BROOKE!! ONE OF THOSE BIG IIIIIICE WATERS!! ;0)!!

Besides that.......let's talk about Brooke's' EYES..............They will make you fall in the floor, they are GORGEOUS!! I remember the first time I saw her Mom's eyes.........it will stop you in your tracks when somebody just has those beautiful SHARP blue eyes...just love em'!!!

Well, I must say that I have never seen a girl more proud of her pick up truck, than Miss Brooke, and we got so many shots of it back there behind her.....beautiful! Alright had fun, but fun spelled backwards is NUF! :-)!

Until next time!

Aly From Alma!..and other thoughts

Hi Everyone!!

Well I'm a couple of days late on the blog that goes with Aly's sneak peak, but wooooooooooo weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I'm gettin' it now! ;-)! These past few weeks have been INSANELY busy with senior, after senior, and I have to admit we have just had the BEST TIME! I have met so many new people and made so many new friends through my artwork....and I can't think of anything more rewarding!

Aly is a sweet senior for Alma, she traveled many-a-mile to partake in the Jenny Thomas Photography heat wave that has been cast over this little town the past few weeks....and we had so much fun!!!! With my trusty side kick JAKE by my side, photography and a pregnant photographer were on it! Aly actually is a cousin of another customer of mine, the lovely Miss Nicole Sharer......she saw her graduation invitations and just HAD TO HAVE 'EM! Go girl go!!!

Aly did SO SO good....she had her three outfits down pat........and even a little graduation spirit as we took some graduation shots. Her grad invites will be hot to trot around little ole Alma!! HAD FUN GIRL!

Speaking of graduation invitations, those seniors who get their senior photography done with me PRIOR to November 15 will have the opportunity to purchase their customized graduation invitations at a better rate then in the spring....when I will be a little bit more "exclusive" (haha), due to having another sweet sweet baby to tend to.

Insider story: I had a senior tell me a few weeks ago that I was "exclusive", which made me cackle..... people just don't understand how wild, crazy, and grounded I am. I'm just a normal person, people!!!! I have had several instances in the past few months where people in public were like, "You are THE Jenny Thomas"......and I'm like....WHAT??!?!?! If you knew me, that makes you fall out of your chair. Between my wild fru fru hair and corny jokes.....I'm just easy-going Jenny....as always!

Alright, must go....1.2 billion jillion things to do........all while making dinner and washing clothes!

Until next time!!

TWO FOR ONE: Hope and Hannah

Hi Everyone!

Well if this post works, I'll dance a preggo jig....because I've typed it twice and it ERASES ITSELF. Technology, gotta love it!! :-)! PLEASE WORK! (I guess if you're reading this...your like, shut up, it worked). Whatever!!!

Ok, so this time I have TWO lovely ladies to tell about.........I'll start with Miss Hope who is a BEAUTY from out of town, who I had the pleasure of photographing TODAY...yeah, I'm good. I'm on it here. It's two in the morning, I'll just die in the morning of sleep deprivation. Anyway, she and her mother and grandmother came from across the bridge for Hope senior pictures....and she was just so photogenic............and followed all directions perfectly, we just had a FUN FUN FUN time! :-)! Has she done this before?? Hope is getting ready to begin her senior year as a Wayne County Rival at Appling high, and she was just so cute, beautiful, and just went right with the flow...we had such a good time! Hope you love your sneak peak!!!

Next, we have Miss Hannah who will be departing to Texas very soon, and they called and needed me to squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze her in, we got it girl! :-)! She wanted some of her shots at the Fancy Honey Factory....and what's neat is that her grandfather used to work there and these will be a surprise for him! Hope I didn't ruin it!! Ooooooops, if I did! :-)! Hannah is also a senior this year, and gorgeous as well...and wanted her photography done in her hometown before she left for Texas...........every thing's bigger in Texas, that's what my brother used to tell me.

You can tell I'm not as humorous because of the lateness right now, and the fact that I've said several sorry things in the previous two posts that were erased. Sorry, if you were reading this for a good kick............witty doesn't flow so well, so late!!!! :-)!!!! But had fun on both of these shoots and I hope the lovely ladies love them!! HAD FUN! CROSS YOUR FINGERS!! PLEASE POST YOU CRAZY BLOG!!

THREE FOR ONE: KRIS, AVERY, and & the lovely Miss Kara

Hi Everyone!!

Well...........I let these sneak peaks get ahead of me, so I've made a three-for-one blog post special about three of my photog victims this week: Two Mr's and one Miss! All of which have two things in common: they are all seniors at one point in this year 2009, and the second thing they have in common.......they were all at my WILD mercy this week as those back to back shoots were REALLY SOMETHING on my preggo body! I MADE IT! :-)!

Let's start with ole Kris! Kris was a MESS....and I had a great time photographing him with all 454565 of his instruments. He talked the musical lingo, I talked the camera lingo, and neither of us understood each other's jargon. I just don't see how one human being can play so many instruments....and SO GOOD! I wish I had skills like that...but I am proud of Mr. Kris as he is about to begin his senior year at WCHS. He and his mom had me laughing the whole time, and I probably told him that he was a nut 454523 times. We shot at some beautiful places....and indoors at Unity, which ISN'T my specialty...but we made it through!!!!!! Had a good time...hope you love your shots!!!!! GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR!

Next to talk about is the marrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrv-lous Mr. Avery who is not only the LAST of the class of 2009 seniors for me to photograph...but obviously, we saved the best for last. Not only was Avery voted Homecoming king at WCHS this year, he was also voted PROM KING.........so what's not to like about ole Avery??!?! He plays sports, he acts, he sings, he is hilarious, he's got the looks and he wants to be a DOCTOR. He's got it all ladies!!........I am so proud of him too, as he was also a pleasure to photograph!!! Hope you love them Avery!!! :-)!

And let's not forget ole Jake, my lovely assistant....HE WAS BACK!!! After graduating in May I've been letting him rest before his college year begins, but he was back as my assistant to help with Avery.....and he just can't help it, Jake is naturally humorous as well, and has the best personality too....did I mention that Jake also got 2nd runner up for Homecoming King and 2nd runner up AGAIN for Prom King?? Ole Avery just beat him out every time......it's fun working with such WONDERFUL WELL RAISED KIDS!!!!!

And Lastly, the lovely Mrs Kara....who will be a senior this coming up year 2010! I met Kara on my prom shoot, and we talked several times about just what she wanted for her senior pictures....she wanted heels, she wanted horses, she wanted water. Did we get you covered??!! I HOPE SO! :-)! We had a fun time too...as she was another one of those great kids who say WHATEVER YOU THINK, and let me practice artistically instead of all old- school. I LOVE IT! Special thanks to Mr. Gene Dukes on this one.....and to ole CONDO the horse! Her shots with Condo were beautiful if I can say so myself! I met her mother Sherry who was very sweet, and special thanks also goes to Mr. Jordan Davis who let me lean on his shoulder several times to make sure I wouldn't fall...........Jake wasn't with me on this one! ;-)!

Well, had fun.........ended the week with Hannah Hewitt, another Senior-to-be, but I'm going to be working on her sneak peak after today.......so be on the lookout!!!

HAD FUN !

Ben Rocks the Field and the Six String

Well, I must say that I was HONORED to be chosen as BEN RATLIFF's senior photographer as EVERYBODY knows he is OH SO COOL! Ben is the son of the Late Benny Ratliff (yes you highschooler's:...the Benny Ratliff Arena at WCHS is named after his Dad) and Jeannette Ratliff Fillmore who I have had the pleasure to work with for the past four years!!!!!!! I just love them all....right down to their dog, Pookie!!!!

Ben said good-bye to his glasses over the summer and took on ONE Contact, and I just couldn't believe the senior hottie hiding behind those glasses!! Go Ben Go!!! He is so HANDSOME!!!!!!!! Ben's feature was his band uniform because he is Captain of the Award-winning Wayne County High School Marching Band....and a MUST HAVE Trumpeter. He wants to be a band director himself, so I knew I had to show case the REAL BEN, in his natural setting. These photos will be priceless one day when he's a rich and famous composer! Don't forget the little people like me, haha.

Anyway, as my belly grows I certainly needed assistance...and what a better friend/wardrobe specialist for Ben then his best bud Mr. Patrick Smith......who provided endless laughs from one word phrases, and had us all questioning our sanity. I appreciate the ladder support Patrick and the humor..............it made a wild time as usual!!!! Hopefully you will let me do your Senior Photography in your speedos (he's a swimmer, duh) for the http://www.jennythomasphotography.com/ fanbase! j/k...we'd keep it modest! Special thanks to Ben's mother, Jeannette for providing all of the pre-discussed props and transportation for the two back-seat bandits!

Well, I must say...I personally just loved, loved, loved Ben's shots........maybe because I've watched him grow up from middle schooler to high School student right before my eyes.....and I am SO PROUD of his accomplishments, from Governors Honors to being in the top of the class........Ben has definitely made both his mother and father VERY PROUD!

Until next time ya'll.....had a WILD TIME! :-)!

Lauren Models her way to 2010

Well..........when is the last time I've had to post three sneak peaks in a row?? I don't know, but it sure is fun to watch THREE at one time!!! Next week, I'll have FOUR shoots.....................so we'll probably be having a quadruple feature!!!!! :-)!

Well THIS TIME it's LAUREN! She's going to start her senior year in a few short weeks, and she was LOVELY to photograph. I actually met Lauren at my prom shoot, where she was accompanied by Mr. Grayson Thomas....a local favorite of mine, who is ALSO a senior this year. I can't believe how old I'm getting!!!!

What I LOVED LOVED LOVED about Lauren's shoot was that they absolutely did not care where we went, what we did.........they left it all up to me!!!!!!!!!!! I hope they like them, haha!! Anyway, we really did have a big time. We were accompanied by her lovely Mother, Mr. Seth Groover (another victim of mine) and also had guest appearances by two other ladies, one of which I will be photographing next week: Miss Kara Forester. Another Prom victim. They just keep coming back for more!!!

I would like to say that Lauren was ESPECIALLY wonderful at letting us shoot in malaria infested tires, and emerged with over fifty mosquito bites........not going back there again!!!! We were swatting, jumping, and smiling at the same time. It was insanity at it's finest....as there were millions of mosquito's still in my SUV the next morning. I hope you don't catch Malaria............or I hope my preggo self doesn't either for that matter!

Anyway, Lauren was such an easy model...she just looks like she needs to be in a GAP commercial. Somebody call them right now, and oh yeah...........Thanks for your help SETH!!!!! You are A#1. I think you just put Jake to shame. Jake, you know you're awesome!!!

Ok, had fun..............but fun spelled backwards is "nuf"! Until next time!

Hannah Was just SO EXCITED

So here's your next sneak peak, her name is Miss Hannah Jones and she was SO EXCITED to finally get to be a victim of my wild talent.........she just went on and on about how she would look at my site all of the time and she couldn't believe that SHE was finally going to be on it!!!!!!!............my victim is what I call it!! :-)! j/k!

She's putting me to work here!

She was so funny, and I just laughed right along with her and her buddy that came along.............because there was a big difference between her serious looks, smirks, fake smiles, and laughs.......her facial expression changes at the drop of a dime just tickled all of us!

We went to some crazy places and I just loved the fact that she was up for anything, that's when my shoots go the best. I usually have this vision in my mind of what I want the shot to look like...........and then I put it to reality......and she was just an easy model to work with! ;-)!

Well, seniors........I guess I'll go ahead and announce to the rest of ya.........if you want me to do your senior pictures you need to call me NOW............due to my pregnancy I will have limited bookings beginning in October, very rare will I work in November, and then I plan to be on maternity leave until 12 weeks after the first of December............SO, if you want your senior pictures done, you better catch me before I have TWO babies...because spring will also be very scarce.........and I know that's the time for graduation invitation design, so it's just best for us to go ahead and do it, go ahead and design the grad cards before Christmas, and go ahead and be done.............my life as a mother/mother-to-be/wife/photographer/slave to laundry and dishes is a wild one.....I just don't want anyone to miss out! I know there are alot of procrastinators out there, and this year is most certainly different from last year because of the call of motherhood! :-)!

Alright, I'm glad that I could finally announce that instead of just spreading it by word of mouth! Had fun Hannah! Hope you love them!

Landon is One!

Hi Everybody!

Well I told you that my schedule was about to start getting crazy here! And what a better way to get crazy.........then getting crazy with the Harper's! They are friends of mine who I just adore, and there youngest son, LANDON, has just turned ONE!!! Isn't he PRECIOUS!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??! Well, both of their darling children are precious. I just love Randy and his fake-smiling self!!! We go way back to when he was in the 2 and 3 year old Sunday School class that Adam and I taught..........and I'll never forget when he told me that he wanted to sing a song in class, and he wanted me to count to ten.......and he blasted out "Honkey Tonk Badonka-Donk"....one of my FAVORITE moments of all time! :-)!

Ole Landon did GREAT in our first location........and then he started getting a little sleepy....and you mothers know how that is.......but we made it through and got some family pics, and we just tried our best!!

We also got the opportunity to shoot at Tonya and David's LOVELY farm again, which I greatly, greatly, greatly appreciate and wanted to give those fun folks a shout out!!!! Tell Ivey, Jameson, Cole, Rainbow, and Reagan I said Hello!!!!!! :-)!

Well, the Harper's and Landon did great, so I hope you enjoy their sneak peak! It won't be up for long, I have MANY MANY sneak peaks already waiting in line to post! :-)!

Had fun y'all!

Emree is tooooo cute!

Well, the new streak of sneak peaks is about to begin and this time it's little Miss Emree! :-)! SHE IS PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes, I needed every exclamation mark that I just typed). She was that precious! She reminded me so much of my little Miss Neely.....and seeing as they are only three days apart in age.....I loved photographing her, as I was right at home!

THIS IS THE INFAMOUS PHOTO SHOOT that was cancelled about 35 times, a couple on her mom's behalf, a couple on the rain's behalf, and then a couple on my behalf....we just didn't EVER think we were going to ever get this done! When I pulled up I gave her mother Shauna a hug because we have talked and texted so much I just felt like I knew her!! :-)!

She originally booked back in the day when I wasn't preggo, and then I found out I was preggo...and was SICK and y'all know how those days were...and then the rain, and then a couple of weeks ago when we were scheduled to shoot I went and stepped on a nail and couldn't walk. BUT...I must say that when we finally did happen to have our paths cross on Monday evening, it was PERFECT! :-)! The breeze, the weather............so glad it finally happened! :-)! And Emree was so precious.

Half of the photo shoot was spent looking for a stray cat that we got a glimpse of, that we named "fuzzy". She probably hollered for "fuzzy" 23,343 times.....but if it weren't for the CHANCE of seeing ole Fuzzy... we wouldn't have half of those glorious shots! :-)! FUZZY, I owe you one buddy! ;-)!

Alright, well I hope ya'll love them, soon to come from last week two more sneak peaks...the Harper's and a Senior Miss Hannah Jones!

Until next time!

Out of Towner Takes the Stage!!

Well, did you think I quit doing photography??!?! Every girl needs a vacation, but I NEEEEEEDED a vacation so bad after the wild end-0f-year senior surge and graduation invitation wildness, and then PROM. You seniors have been SO GOOD TO ME!! I LOVE SENIORS!!!! They're my fav...they're up for anything!! We had an amazing vacation, and now I am back and rejuvinized. Is that a word Mrs. Eckle?

Well, you might have saw my current sneak peak and thought WHO IS THAT!??!??!?!! She is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, she's not from Jesup....she's from HAZELHURST, so quit whipping out that WCHS yearbook!!!!!!!! She is kin of a kin.....her name is Annilyne, and this was my SECOND time photographing her. She was actually at the prom shoot, attending as a date to a WCHS Senior........and after all was said and done that evening, my BFF Heather and I were discussing how beautiful the seniors were....and Annilyne was Heather's pick!!! Heather just kept saying did you see that girl??!?! Did you see the girl with the blonde hair, she was a KNOCK OUT!! So Annilyne had already struck this small town with her beauty and made a lasting impression!

We had so much fun on the shoot, as her Mom Cindy attended with us, and we laughed and had a good time through the sweat and lack of my handy ladder. Only Jenny Thomas would have to use a folding chair to stand in for a photo shoot. Vacation took my ladder, OK??

Alright, well ya'll post your comments about gorgeous Annilyne and you better BELIEVE the sneak peaks are about to start rolling because all of those waiting for me to return from vacation are booked UP for the next three weeks!

Also, if you haven't heard...........IT'S A BOY!!!!! :-)! My life is complete: Husband, daughter, and son! Get excited!! :-)!

HAD FUN!

From One Preggo Lady to Another: Haley

Well hello everyone!

I didn't forget about Haley!!!! I wasn't being lazy!!!............Well, I must say that LAZY isn't the word! It's NON-STOP BUSY!!!! (with a few more couch breaks!) My new life as a stay at home mom/part time photographer has been EVERYTHING that I have dreamed of since starting my business last November!!!!

I have stayed up late, late, late, late into the nights working on this business to ensure that I would be successful........and now that my teaching gig is finally over, I must pat myself on the back, I FINALLY MADE IT!!!!!!! I can breath easy.....well, until baby number TWO gets here! (The beginning of December for those of you who are wondering)!

Well, this past week I had the opportunity to photograph Haley and her husband Kerry on their anniversary.........but not anniversary shots, MATERNITY SHOTS! ;-)! They are expecting a little baby boy, and Haley was looking for something different!

When I first got there, and Haley got out of the car, I could only LAUGH.......ummmmmmm, I am 16 weeks preggo, she's somewhere in the 30 weeks preggo.............I SWARE OUR BELLIES WERE THE SAME SIZE!! It just cracked me up.........she was GORGEOUS for a preggo lady, her face, her arms didn't look pregnant....why wasn't I dealt that deck of cards??!!!!! She looks like a model!!! I was SO glad that I could capture this special time for them.........because it won't be long and she'll be joining the fleet of sleepless/wild haired mom's like me. Ok, minus the wild hair.....my hair is the hair that's wild, and everybody knows it. It got ESPECIALLY wild that day in that salty ocean air! Not attaching a picture of THAT MESS!

Ok, so we had a great time, got some great shots...............can't wait for the baby to get here (NO NAME YET!) but when he does I'll be dealing out some fine baby photography!

Had fun! Hope you like them!!!!

Brody B!!!!!!!

Well this week I FINALLY had the opportunity to photograph Little Mr. Brody Bowen! This is actually my second time following him around...and each time I conclude that he's SO CUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTE!!! We've been trying to get his one year pictures completed between rain and my preggo sickness........so FINALLY we found a hot-almost rainy day that worked BEAUTIFULLY!!!!!

So....what do you think of Brody and the tie? I think he looks like a little 80's baby.........love it! We cruised around in their boat (nice boat, ay???!) and got some great shots out at my old stomping grounds, cherokee lake. We should just pack up and move back out there, we are basically there every weekend anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Brody is a lake regular anyway........and his mom REALLY wanted to have him photographed on a boat because she was photographed on a boat as a child...and I couldn't agree...these were fun. I love stuff like this! Brody if you're reading this, Neely wanted to tell you hey and that her favorite is of you in the chair, that's why it made it to the home page on my site. Neely told me to. She started giggling when that picture came on my screen!

Ok, I've got to cut this short....photographing Rachel Bilbrey's wedding in just a little bit....and oh yeah before I forget...I'm now ONLY trying to do weekday shoots since I'm out of school and NEVER GOING BACK.....most of you didn't know I was a middle school teacher a few short days ago, did ya? That's why I've had such a wild schedule here recently!! Anyway, I want to reserve the weekends for time with my family....that's so important to us!

Ok Brody, had fun...the girls will be after you now cutie....wait, they already were!!

Lanier's Rock the Lens!!!

Hello Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This time it's the Lanier's LARGE family shoot that's taking all the glory on my site right now...........it was so much FUN!! First of all, this is a shoot that emerged from another shoot! Remember baby MIA? The cute, precious, just so sweet little girl that I photographed a few months back? MIA couldn't take it...she wanted me to come and shoot again, but this time....the ENTIRE family!

In a related story, have you ever had a "small world" situation in which you run into or encounter people who know other people that you know, and you just think there is no way that the world is small enough for your people to know their people? Was that a run-on Mr. Eckle? ANYWAY, that's how this shoot was: there were TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Small world situations within this story, and this entire shoot took place in STERLING, GA.....not Jesup, so I really didn't know anybody very good except for Mia's Fam!

FIRST, Mia's dad, MARK went to college somewhere that's not here with my first cousin ERICA who is from Warner Robins. Ole Erica was checking out my site, she sees baby Mia....and she's like, WAIT THAT'S MARK!!!!!!!!!! Everytime she comes to Jesup she would talk about her friend Mark and about some soup or something.........I now know her friend Mark from an entirely un-soup-related situation. Small world.

AND THEN................during this shoot as I was riding in the car with Mark's Mom, she asked me what my maiden name was, and I told her and she was like, "Do you know Tim Tyre"...........and I could have slapped my knee. Tim Tyre is my daddy's brother who lives on the ISLAND, and takes care of the pharmacy needs of her parents...........SMALL WORLD. Jesup/Sterling....I guess we're hand in hand.

OK, so enough of that. So this shoot was actually put together by Mark's sister and Mia's aunt.....Jennifer Lanier. She's the gorgeous lady with the sweet puppy in the picture, and I thought it was SO nice of her to coordinate an entire large shoot like this for her family. I always say (seriously without plugging what I do)..... "pictures are priceless"........she must feel it too.

There was 1.5 million shots from this shoot, only because with that many people I just couldn't stop, there were photographic situations in every corner at their LOVELY plantation home....which was over TWO HUNDRED years old! Now that's neat! ;-)!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peak...........proofs will be ready soon for the ENTIRE family! I hope you love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAD FUN!

WCHS PROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, well, well. Prom is FINALLY this weekend. After months and months of emails, questions, and phone calls.............pre-booking is over, and it's time for a good photog-session to be held THIS SATURDAY from 3:00 until sunset!!!!!!!!!! The LATER the better!!! Wooooooooooooooooo hoooooooo! :-)! Let's do it!

Well, everybody knows that I'm ONLY an on-location photographer which means that I only shoot outdoors except in SPECIAL SPECIAL circumstances when I work my indoor magic (thus my brain wheels must turn harder, and if anybody reading this have ever had a pregnant brain, you know the wheels are a little squeaky when turning).....so we are crossing our fingers with this rain situation and taking a chance!!!! There is NO SECOND INDOOR LOCATION! Believe it. Am I crazy? Ok, so don't answer that, OK? I just don't shoot indoors, OK? Everybody has their "ticks" as my Mama says. Ok, so I have lots of "ticks". I keep telling on myself.

I have booked so many couples for my shoot, which will be located near Poppell's and Nang's and I hope it all works out! If not, there are DEFINETLY some GREAT photographers in town that I would recommend, such as Angie Copeland who will be set up at Bennett's Jewelry and Silvy Tompkins who will be set up at her studio on South Brunswick street, and Armstrongs.......not sure where she will be, but probably at her studio! So if it rains, and you've already pre-booked with me, go hit one of these photographers up and tell them I sent you! Let's share the love. I'm giving out full refunds if it rains, by the way. Hey...God brought clouds when I did my tennis shoot, he stops the rain when I've needed it to stop for Judit and the Lanier shoot this past weekend....................let's hope he does it Saturday!! Everybody use the prayer, and pray for my sanity! :-)!!!! I have a love for crazy.

Anyway, ya'll come on down......something fun, I've ordered Jenny Thomas Photography Tshirts (limited supply) so you'll be able to purchase one of those bad boys.....did you know that I used to design tshirts????????????????????? Ok, well hopefully this will all go well, I hope you have a good week and hopefully I'll see the prom-goers on Saturday! :-)!!!

Judit's Graduating....and she's georgeous!

Well, I didn't think we were ever going to get this shoot finished between the rain and wild small town traffic, but Judit's shoot was beautiful!!!! :-)! She is absolutely gorgeous, and I just loved so many of her shots..........I basically closed my eyes and picked which ones to use for the sneak peak because she was so photogenic it was almost impossible for me to sit there and pick and choose!

Judit is a senior this year and I met her on one of my crazy ventures..............I believe I had actually gone to the bank to get change for my WCHS tennis shoot......and she was working at the bank! She said, are you a photographer....and I said, YES! Why don't I show you my prom ad.......so I pulled it out and before I could turn around she wanted to book for her senior pictures!

Judit wants to be a cosmetologist.........going to cosmetology school so we had some fun shots with her straighting iron, curling iron, etc....but I thought I might confuse people if I put those in the sneak peak, so you can imagine the fun we had with those.......and between the rain drops we finally made it. The wild thing that happened...her umbrella got caught in the racks on top of my SUV and I thought I was going to have to drive around with a hot pink umbrella on my car all the way back to Jesup. It never fails, something crazy happens to me on every shoot.

Anyway, I wanted to get these up for her so you can check out just a SAMPLE of the shots we did currently under my sneak peak...........Had fun!!!!!!!!! :-)!

The Most Difficult Shoot I have ever done

As a photographer, I am usually asked to photograph seniors, families, or events that are a celebration of something exciting to come: Something special. This photo shoot was just that, yet so different then any other shoot I have ever done. In fact, it WAS a major celebration of life and I believe that it was more special then I will EVER know. EVER, EVER, EVER know. I did the photography for this family on Saturday May 16, 2009 and sadly, Mr. Smith passed away 30 minutes after I posted the sneak peak, today, May 19, 2009.

For the Smith family, this photo shoot was a celebration of life and love for a father who was battling cancer. I usually put myself in the shoes of those that I am photographing, and I think about what they will want, and what they will like, what they are experiencing........and with this photo shoot. I lost it. I could hardly do what I had set out to do. I am so glad that I got to capture these moments for this family. To walk 20 minutes in their shoes was extremely difficult for me. I was honored to meet this family and witness their continuous strength during this time, as "Papa" has been battling cancer for three years, and he was in the final stages.

It's hard for me to write this, but what I found so emotionally heart wrenching about this shoot was seeing the LOVE that this family had for a husband, father, and grandfather. I had the opportunity to witness it through a camera lens, and it was so special...........words CANNOT begin to describe the emotion and story that was told through this family. To see his wife whisper in his ear nearly sent me to the house........what was she telling him??? Whatever it was, I know he could hear every word of it, and he was smiling on the inside.

I wish this family the best as I know there are many who are thinking about you and praying for your family! Your Papa is pain free now and I am so, so, so, so, so glad that I could do this for you!!!!!! It meant SO much to me. Like I said, usually my photo shoots are a celebration of something exciting to come: Heaven is most definitely something exciting to come, and your family knows your there smiling down on them.

Stay strong and thank you for this opportunity to capture these moments with your family!!!

Jordan Maxey: Senior 09! Oh Yeah! :-)!

Ok, so I've had three new sneak peaks in the past week or so without blogs attached to them, and I apologize about that...........however, we all know my preggo problem! Good news though, I must say that as of yesterday I kind of started feeling a LITTLE better............2nd trimester is almost here!!!!!! ;-)!

So I guess I'll pick back up with bloggin' about my shoot with Jordan Maxey, who is a senior.........but only for a few more days! Can you believe that school is almost out,.......... she'll be off to school before we can turn around!! Jordan was so sweet, and very understanding of why I was green colored during the photo shoot..........and we had a good time! On my way to meet her, I noticed the car show in the Star Hardees parking lot, and when I ran the idea by her....she wanted to do it! So, it was my first time taking a senior to an "event" to do the photography, and you would have thought that I was a celebrity photographer, and she a celebrity!! Everybody was looking and watching us, and were very interested in what we were doing!!!! They were volunteering their cars left and right! Am I crazy??! I guess the answer is YES!

A car-enthusiast wanted to know why I didn't pose her by his hunk of metal...........just couldn't pick them all! :-)! We were welcomed though, and we had a good time! We also ran into another model of mine, Miss Erica Goober and her boyfriend Patrick who I just love so much......and we had a good visit!!!

Before I left, Jordan said something that made me laugh.....she told me she hoped my "vomiting" gets better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like something crazy I would tell somebody!!!!!! She was so funny, real, and just plain SWEET!! Wait a minute, I think she told me she got voted SWEETEST as her high school superlative. I can see it.

OK, well I hope to pick back up soon. I feel like I'm a million miles behind with my preggo sickness, but at least I got through the graduation invitation rush OK. Also ran into a fan over the weekend, Mrs. Holly Lane from my Davidson and Lane family shoot, they are such a beautiful family. I think I was green colored when I ran into them in Longhorn, with all the "food smells"!!! Can't handle those very well!!!

Oh yeah, speaking of "picking back up", Avery Coleman needed to change his photo shoot date, so I haven't actually done his photography yet (it's on my calendar like it's already past)...but I can't wait.......he is too sweet as well, and the Wayne Co. High Homecoming king! Go Avery go! I'll call you!

OK, y'all have a good one! Had fun Jordan!!! Hope you didn't get maleria from the misquito attack!!! Until next time!

Two Brewtons, One Shoot!

Well, I must say that the Brewton's have two good lookin' children!!!!!!!!! Both are just gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tyler is a senior this year, and I was summoned by his mother to do his senior pictures, and she wanted to add a little Jaicee in there too.....seeing that she is a BEAUTIFUL beauty queen!!!! Jaicee needed some head shots for an upcoming pageant, so we killed two birds with one stone!!!! We actually took all kinds of wild ones, but I kept the sneak peak kind of normal so Jaicee could decide what she liked and didn't like without the whole world looking at the crazy ones!!

Out in the deep fields of Screven Georgia..........we had a fun time as I enjoyed talking with all the Brewtons....and I even met NANA! ;-)!!! They are all so nice. I just love Screven people......and I am partial to a few ya know!!!!!!! My Screven sister Heather and I go way back.........way way way way back to early Screven days.............four wheelers on nine run road......had to add that in there HEATHER! Ticket in the Mail! :-)! It's my blog, sometimes I get off of topic, but Heather reads every word. Heck, she might be the only one reading this for all I know!!! Nobody has been responding to my blogs recently!!! Should I just be writing to just you Heather?!? Tell Dennis I'll write to him to if he gets upset, I know he's a fan.

Back to the Brewton's........they have a lovely farm, and I was amazed at all of the large and in charge farming equipment.......and Tyler was partial to the John Deer Theme....so he's a real farmer, it's believable......he said something funny like, "tobacco farming is the heart of the south"....something like that, it made me laugh!!...........and poor Jaicee was ancy to get off to a dance, hope I didn't keep you too long!!! But lastly, I would like to mention their Mama, Mrs. Angie Brewton.....................she is SO NICE, have you ever met somebody and you just felt like you've known them your whole life? That's how Angie Brewton is.....explains why her kids turned out so great!! :-)! Ok, well I guess this is enough.........I had so much fun, hope everybody loves the sneak peak, and I hope to do more Screven shoots!!!!!

Jordi, Jordi, Jordi!!!!

Well, here we go!!! My pregnant brain is really throwing me for a loop here!!!!! I posted Jordi's sneak peak, but for some reason forgot to write about our shoot! Somebody hellllllp me, I'm going crazy! ;-)!!!!

Anyway, this past week I got the chance to photograph the beautiful, the sweet, the little miss JORDI BOYETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And boy did she do so good!! :-)! Jordi is a senior this year and happens to be the girlfriend of my lovely assistant Mr. Jake Ray Phillips. Jordi is also a very avid Jenny Thomas Photography fan!!! She has been known for describing my shoots as "wicked awesome", so when it came to doing her own senior photo shoot, I knew we had to make it "wicked awesome" for her ! :-)! She fretted and fretted over the fact that she didn't have a "theme", but you don't have to have a theeeeeeeeeeme when you're gorgeous and look like Barbie, OK??!

She and Jake dressed up as Hobo's for the Senior Homecoming extravaganza thing they had in the gym for boys homecoming court................but Hobo wouldn't be a good theme for this.........and then Jordi's a Varsity Cheerleader........but she didn't want to use that.......so we concluded, NO THEME!!! Just sheer beauty!! :-)!

I would like to thank Miss Nicole Sharer for coming along and helping Jordi with outfit changes, suggestions, and laughs........Nicole is an experienced Jenny Thomas Photography model........she really knows what looks good, and I was so glad she came! She's going to UGA, might I add.......I know she's so excited! :-)! And I would like to throw out a shout out to the guy at the upholstery shop who lent us the tape we needed......you go boy!! :-)! (strangely enough, that isn't the first time that guy has helped me with something.......heck, he practically lined up the location for my prom shoot for me!!!) Long story...........Don't even know his name, but I appreciate him! ;-)!!

Anyway, I thought Jordi's shots by the car turned out to be really classy and I can't wait to design her grad invites!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there is anybody else out there who is thinking "hey I would like Jenny to design a graduation invitation for me"................well, sadly, the cutoff was with Tyler Brewton and we're out of time!!! Maybe next year! (wait, that's only for those who flunk I guess)!!!! I've had several calls.......just wanted to clear that up! The ones that I've done have been super cool though!! Maybe you'll get one in the mail from somebody!! Buy them something nice for having such a cool grad card, OK??!! :-)!

OK, I'm out! :-)!
